SHANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

The February Medal(Stableford) took place in perfect conditions with 34 players taking part.

A great day for scoring saw 7 players beat their handicap, must be a record this year. With this the CSS was 37 pts.

An early morning score of 38 points by Alan Taylor saw him lead in the clubhouse for hours, until 2 other scores came in.

Richard Lysik, played early evening and filled by a couple of burgers, created a new pre round ritual, which obviously appeared to work with a 38 point total.

In virtual darkness, came a round to be proud of, from Duncan Lauder, fresh from his abdication from The Cowal "Wee Firth"  team. A coaching session late Saturday evening, saw Duncan with new found confidence and a will to succeed sneak home under the radar with the 1st prize.Well it must have been radar as it was almost pitch black when the last group came in.

A great day for scoring again and a course which I cannot praise highly enough.

With everyone repairing pitchmarks and keeping trolleys away from the greens, we are aiding our Greenstaff, which means they can concentrate on other areas of the course which need attention.

Thanks again for your cooperation.

Andy
